Welcome to Trihare. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and any rug products (“Products”) you purchase from us.

By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

Trihare is an Australian business selling rugs for home and commercial interiors.

You agree to:

  • Use this website for lawful purposes only
     
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the website or other users
     
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site
     

We may suspend or restrict access to the website at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or for maintenance and updates.


3. Product information

  • We aim to show our Products as accurately as possible. However, colours, patterns and textures may look different on screens compared with real life.
     
  • All sizes and measurements are approximate. Small variations may occur between batches.
     
  • Trihare sells rugs only. We do not provide on-site measuring or installation services.
     

4. Pricing and payment

  • All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.
     
  • We may change prices at any time. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you place your order.
     
  • Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase through the payment methods offered on our website.
     

5. Orders, shipping and delivery

  • Your order is confirmed when you complete checkout and we send you an order confirmation email.
     
  • We ship to the delivery addresses listed on our website or checkout page.
     
  • Shipping fees, estimated delivery times and any tracking information will be shown at checkout or in your order confirmation.
     
  • Delivery times are estimates only. Delays can occur due to courier, weather or other factors outside our control.
     
  • Risk in the Products passes to you when the order is delivered to the delivery address you provided.
     

6. Change of mind, returns and faulty items

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Change of mind

  • We may or may not accept change-of-mind returns. Our current return policy (if any) will be shown on our website.
     
  • Where change-of-mind returns are accepted, Products must generally be unused, in original condition and packaging, and returned within the time frame stated in our return policy.
     
  • Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are usually your responsibility, unless otherwise stated.
     

Faulty or incorrect items

  • If a rug arrives damaged, faulty or not as ordered, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos.
     
  • Where a Product has a major fault or is not in accordance with your consumer guarantees, we will offer an appropriate remedy in line with the ACL (e.g. repair, replacement or refund).
     

We are not responsible for:

  • Damage caused by misuse, improper care, or failing to follow care instructions
     
  • Normal wear and tear, including flattening of pile, shedding, or fading from sunlight
     
  • Damage occurring after delivery (e.g. pets, spills, accidents)
     

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss (including loss of profit, loss of opportunity or business interruption) arising from your use of our website or Products.
     
  • Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to, at our option:
     
    • repairing or replacing the Products,
       
    • supplying the Products again, or
       
    • paying the cost of such repair, replacement or resupply.
       

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.


8. Intellectual property

  • All content on this website (including text, images, logos, graphics and layout) is owned by or licensed to us.
     
  • You may view the content for personal use only. You must not copy, distribute, modify or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
     

9. Privacy

Your use of this website is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information. By using our website or placing an order, you consent to our handling of your information as described there.


10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version.
Your continued use of the website or further purchases after changes means you accept the updated Terms.


11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts entitled to hear appeals from them.

Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with Trihare Rugs. We want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains when and how you can return items and request a refund.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


1. Change-of-mind returns

We understand that sometimes a rug may not suit your space as expected.

  • We accept change-of-mind returns within 7 days from the date you receive your order.
     
  • To be eligible for a change-of-mind return, the rug must be:
     
    • unused and unwashed
       
    • in original, saleable condition
       
    • with all original tags and packaging intact
       

Items not eligible for change-of-mind returns may include:

  • clearance / “final sale” items (clearly marked on the product page)
     
  • rugs that show signs of use, damage, stains, pet hair or strong odours
     

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are your responsibility.
     
  • Original shipping fees are generally non-refundable.
     

2. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

You are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law if a product has a major fault or is not as described.

Please contact us as soon as possible if:

  • the rug arrives damaged,
     
  • the rug has a manufacturing fault, or
     
  • you received the wrong item or size compared with your order confirmation.
     

We may ask you for:

  • your order number,
     
  • a description of the issue, and
     
  • clear photos of the rug and any packaging damage.
     

Where a rug is confirmed to be faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrect, we will provide an appropriate remedy in line with the ACL, which may include:

  • repair (where reasonable),
     
  • replacement, or
     
  • refund of the purchase price (and, where required, shipping costs).
     

We are not responsible for damage caused by:

  • misuse or improper care,
     
  • failure to follow care instructions,
     
  • normal wear and tear (including flattening of pile, shedding, or fading from sunlight), or
     
  • accidents after delivery (e.g. spills, pet damage).
     

3. How to request a return

To request a return, please contact us at:

Include:

  • your full name,
     
  • order number,
     
  • photos (if the item is faulty/damaged), and
     
  • a brief explanation of why you would like to return the item.
     

We will reply with instructions, including:

  • whether your return is approved, and
     
  • the return address and any reference number to include on the parcel.
     

Please do not return items without contacting us first, as this may delay processing.


4. Returning your rug

  • Rugs must be securely wrapped to protect them in transit.
     
  • We recommend using a trackable postage service and keeping your receipt. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit where you arranged the shipping.
     
  • Once we receive your returned rug, we will inspect it to confirm it meets the conditions of this policy.
     

5. Refunds

If your return is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the purchase.
     
  • Please allow 7–14 business days after we receive and inspect your return for the refund to appear in your account (processing times may vary between banks and payment providers).
     

For change-of-mind returns:

  • Any original shipping fees are usually non-refundable, unless required by law.
     
  • Return shipping costs are usually not refunded.
     

6. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges.

  • You can return the rug (if eligible) for a refund and place a new order for the rug you prefer.
     
  • If you want, we can help you choose another rug style or size before you reorder.
